The belief that I am second best was my greatest limiting factor. It came from stuff that happened to me when I was a child that left my promise encased in “reinforced concrete”. My self-esteem had been smashed into oblivion. Chipping away at that has taken a long, long time. Writing my words on a public platform is a miracle in itself. Stepping up and offering to help beyond my comfort zone was unheard of. There are a few shadows lurking in the periphery, but I am in control of them.
Meeting great people like you have restored my confidence and zeal for life. I love your closing question that “There is greatness within you, and it’s time for you to start living it out!”
]]>You are very welcome Phil. Appreciate the support!
]]>Great insight LaRae. Was blessed to hear Nick again today in a smaller group setting that included Q&A. I don’t know how anyone could fear “stepping out of their comfort zone” after hearing Nick tell his story. You are spot on – no better way to prepare then by just doing it.
]]>What an awesome year for you, working with John Maxwell, going to Guatemala, seeing Nick live! Wow!
Thank you for sharing your experiences, and for the reminder to blow up our self-limiting beliefs!
It struck me as I read this post that I deeply believe what you are sharing, and that I share the same types of messages often, and yet I have been holding on to some limiting beliefs….
