Have you ever noticed that when you allow yourself to look beyond the obvious, you can learn some cool stuff from the most interesting places. Last weekend we headed across the state of Oregon into Idaho to visit family for the Easter Weekend. I learned a few unexpected lessons while there.
I guess my journey over the last few years has taught me that we miss out on a lot of opportunities and lessons simply because we don’t take the time to look around and really see what’s going on. It’s amazing what you can learn when you start looking!
My brother-in-law, Scott, suggested that he and his son Sam and me and my son Scott go hit a bucket of balls at the local golf course. Spring seems to finally be showing up and it sounded like a great idea.
We picked up our buckets from the clubhouse, filled them up and headed over to the driving range. I have a set of clubs and have been playing golf on and off since High School but the lack of consistent play pretty much leaves me reinventing my game on an annual basis.
As I watched the others hit and began hitting my own bucket, I actually tried to focus on my swing and then it struck me that golf is a lot like most of the challenges we have in life. I may lose some of you here, but golf is only a game, really, it is. Some of us just take it more serious than others.
What I found interesting is that we can use some of the same principles in improving our golf game as we can in improving our life and here are four of them:
Well, if I want to improve my golf game, I better start playing more consistently. Dusting off the clubs two of three times a year does not a golfer make.
If I want to improve my life, I need to follow through more consistently and I’m not referring to my golf swing.
Several years of slicing and hooking have centered my focus on trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong. I should be focusing on what I need to do right.
In life, I need to move away from deficit based thinking and focus on the assets I have instead of the deficiencies. Making what I already do right better, will eliminate the bad stuff without even thinking about it.
Like many golfers, I spend way to much time thinking about the next swing. Too many moving parts and too many options. Limit the things to work on to one or two and take care of them first.
In life, it is no different. Too many things I want to do, which translates to not doing any of them very well at all. Less shiny squirrels and less options reduces the noise and clutter and brings clarity to any situation.
Simple – create better habits. Habits come from repetition. Driving range, putting green and chipping from the fringe. Practice, practice and then practice.
Now I realize life is not practice but this I know – the more I do something, the better I will get at it. This goes for good things and bad. What do I need to do more of? The things that really matter. The things that make a difference.
Look at that – a simple bucket of balls at a golf course and look what I learned from it. A couple of questions to leave you with …
What opportunities are you currently missing out on in your life because you are simply not taking the time to notice them? [Tweet This]
Maybe the more important question is what are you going to start, stop, do more of or do less of in order to see them and act on them?

This month in The Platform Builders mastermind group we are working our way through “The Power Of Urgency – Playing to Win with Proactive Urgency” by William Keiper. John Maxwell teaches that the greatest gap is the gap between what we know and what we do. I believe the Proactive Urgency that Keiper is talking about can close that gap.
As soon as I write and publish this post, I will start on the final chapter of my new book, Leaderhip by Invitation – How to RSVP and Embrace Your Role as a LEADER, that will be available in April. I wish I would have practiced pro-urgency a little sooner in getting by draft completed.
Procrastination, or lack of pro-urgency as I understand more clearly, has plagued me all my life. Start a project and then start a project and then, you guessed it, start another project. But never getting any of them done. My greatest accomplishments always seem to come when I am under the gun.
I used to think that this was a strength, and I guess it can be at times, but the truth is that pro-urgency eliminates a lot of the “unknowns” that can creep up while attempting anything. Life happens fast, and sometimes what happens comes at us so fast we have to go on the defense just to protect our end of the field.
The recent Super Bowl was an example of a great defense resulting in victory. But that defense was calculated, well thought out and well planned. That defense used pro-urgency to prepare and produce.
The lack of pro-urgency results in a defense that is fighting for it’s life. This defense is reacting instead of responding and it shows. My experience has been that although this type of defense can function, and even function well, they forfeit the opportunity to make adjustments for the unknown and unplanned events that happen. Basically, it limits your ability to stay in control and be flexible.
“It is important that you get clear for yourself that your only access to impacting life is action.” – Werner Erhard (Tweet This / Post to LinkedIn)
In this, the second of three posts, I want to offer up Keiper’s thought provoking take on the idea of Proactive Urgency. Keiper ends each of the 17 chapters with an “Urgency Rule” and I want to highlight a few to set the frame for the rest of the book.
Urgency Rule #9 – There is power, clarity and efficiency in creating and consciously attending to distinctions. You can see what you need to see, when you need to see it.
The noise and clutter that we face everyday overwhelms our senses and numbs our ability to focus. Pro-urgency provides the clarity to cut through all that noise because we know what we want before we need it. That way, when the time comes that we need it, we already know what it is.
Urgency Rule #10 – The future of a moment ago has arrived. You bring it your perfection along with your uniqueness. Make it your mission to leverage your uniqueness starting immediately.
You should be using your uniqueness as an advantage over everyone else. The things that make you different are exactly the things that will let you stand out in the crowd. All you need to be is 1% better or faster than the next guy to have an advantage.
Urgency Rule #11 – Security is mainly illusory. Remember Helen Keller’s words: “Avoiding danger is typically no safer in the long run than outright exposure.” Practice leaving your comfort zone.
If you want to do something you’ve never done before, you need to become someone you’ve never been before. The only place you will find that is outside your comfort zone. And the time to leave is now!
The question: What is it that you know you need to do, but haven’t because it will require you to step outside your comfort zone?
The challenge: STEP!

Here we are … “What I Learned This Week” Friday. Along with the usual stuff this week, I spoke with a handful of corporate executives, attended a few webinars and participated in a few mastermind groups. The theme this week in just about everything I did was CLARITY.
For me personally, clarity was the difference maker in my transition out of the construction industry. I mean it’s hard enough as it is to try and stay clear and focused when you only have one job. Going from one to another, and one that is completely different, produced a lot of fuzz in my vision for a really long time.
I think the most significant thing that was missing early on was guidance. I was trying to do it all myself and well, you can probably guess how that turned out. When I became part of the John Maxwell Team, I not only was connected to John himself and an incredible roster of teammates, but a mentorship team that has been invaluable in my successful transition.
One of my teammates, Kary Oberbrunner, who was coaching and mentoring in his own business took me a step further by introducing me to a framework that included an Overarching Vision, Purpose, Unifying Strategies and a Scorecard for Significance. If you want to know more about that framework, let me know, but the end result was gaining the clarity that I had been lacking that brought my world back into focus.
I said clarity was the theme this week, but it came in different forms and I offer these up to see if your world currently resonates with any of them.
You have to start somewhere, right? Well it only makes sense to start where you’re at. I have found that if you find yourself in this situation it’s because you’re lacking a benchmark, nothing to define your current condition. I love the idea of starting with the end in mind. Do you have a vision for your future?
Look, I will be honest, if you don’t know where you’re going then it doesn’t matter where you are. Knowing where you want to go allows you to establish what the difference is between the destination and where you currently are. A destination provides the clarity to map the course to get there.
I know some of you are in this category. I won’t pretend to minimize your current workload or responsibilities, but this I know – if you don’t know where your going, it really doesn’t matter where you end up. If you don’t have a plan, someone else will make one for you and if you didn’t know this already, they don’t have much planned for you.
Clarity doesn’t just happen. It comes from strategically planning out the steps you need to achieve a desired result. And it only starts there. Once you have that plan, you need to work it. Clarity is the glue that holds a plan together and makes it stick! (Tweet This / Post to LinkedIn)
Really? Doesn’t that, in itself, suggest that clarity is needed? The time for clarity is now. Remember earlier when I said BEGIN with the end in mind. Last time I checked, the beginning is usually the first part. My point is that the next move is your most important because it sets the stage for the rest.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you need to take care of a few things before you create and implement a plan. Those “things” should be part of your plan. Start now with the plan you want to execute. Be strategic and specific with every move.
My guess is that you fit into at least one of these three scenarios, maybe more. This week I mentioned the gap between what we know and what we do. Clarity can close that gap.
The Question: Which of these scenarios are you currently in?
The Challenge: Before going back to whatever it was you were doing, take just 15 minutes and come up with one action item you can take immediately to improve your current condition or circumstance.

It’s the beginning of the year and as we are accustomed to, blogs fill our inbox everyday giving the “right” way to achieve our goals. I get it – new year, new plan, new outcome – right? Well sometimes.
One of the great things about being a coach is that you get to collaborate with other coaches and mentors on a regular basis. Honestly, I think having a coach or mentor – someone to hold you accountable – is the best way to achieve any goal. Speaking from personal experience I can say that my results increase dramatically when I have someone holding me accountable to doing what I say I am going to do.
One of my mentors, Kary Oberbrunner, recently posted this on his Day Job to Dream Job blog:
I think I heard something like this before but it clearly did not stick. This time it did. I get this now. It makes so much sense. It’s really no different for goals. When the goal is the goal, the focus is on the destination. When the goal is about changing who you are, the goal becomes the bi-product of the transformation you go through.
Maybe it’s the transformation that I have gone through over the past few years in my own life that has brought clarity to this concept. But now that I understand it, everything I do has more meaning. And not just to me, but to those around me as well.
In Guatemala last June, John Maxwell told me that; “Once you get a taste of significance, you will never settle for success.” (Tweet This / Share on Facebook / Post to LinkedIn) Think about that one for a minute!
OK, so why does any of this matter? If you remember from an earlier post, I mentioned that today in National Quit Day. The average day that most people give up on their New Year’s Resolutions. Do you possibly think that the reason they give up is because they are focused on the destination and let’s be honest, how much change can possibly take place in ten days?
OK – Problem identified. Now let’s get to the solution. Here is my advice. The next time you set a goal, use the one you set ten days ago if you want, spend some additional time writing down (YES, I SAID WRITING DOWN) the person you hope to become in achieving that goal.
We are ten days into 2014 and I will go out on a limb here and assume that most of you have made some type of list of the things you want to achieve this year. My guess is very few of you have written down who you would like to become this year.
Are you going to measure the success of this year by how well you achieve your goals? What if you fail? What if life happens and you simply can’t attain your goals because of your circumstances?
Here is the good news about focusing on the journey instead of the destination. Setting out to change yourself does not really have much to do with achieving the goal. We can learn through adversity and we can change during the difficult times. We can grow every day in any situation. It doesn’t matter what life throws at us.
“That which does not kill us makes us stronger.” – Friedrich Nietzsche
Nietzsche may give the best goal setting advice there is. The problem is that most people don’t get stronger. They give up or simply change direction because “it makes more sense.”
As far as I am concerned, this may be the most important question I ask this year. “Who do you want to become?” How about a bonus question to celebrate National Quit Day? “What will you do to become that person?”

Well here we are, a new year and a new plan, right? I know this – the Platform Builders have some new plans for 2014 and this year we are starting our Mastermind study with a little twist.
This month we are masterminding through The Men Who Built America, a DVD produced by the History Channel along with Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill to compliment the mini-series built around some of the great early leaders and entrepreneurs that help build the United States into a world power at the end of the 19th Century.
If you don’t know the back story on how these two connect together, Napoleon Hill was commissioned by Andrew Carnegie to study the most successful people and find out what resulted in their success. The men who built America were among many of the 20,000+ that Hill interviewed over the twenty year period it took him to write the book.
This month we are going take a look at Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, JP Morgan and Henry Ford. In this, the first of four posts, we will take a look at Andrew Carnegie.
Carnegie is most recognized for the steel empire he built that would later become the U.S. Steel Company after being sold to J.P. Morgan in 1901 for the equivalent of 13.5 Billion Dollars in today’s economy. But there is much more to Carnegie’s story.
So what was it that took a boy born into poverty in the Country of Scotland to become one of the wealthiest men in the America? Lets take a look at three of the things that Napoleon Hill discovered:
“Every act you have ever performed since the day you were born was performed because you wanted something.” – Andrew Carnegie
Carnegie spent his early years in business watching men like Vanderbilt, Rockefeller and Thomas Scott. He watched them build their empires and when his opportunity came, he knew exactly what he wanted and that desire never left. From one venture to the next his desire empowered him to find a way to achieve it.
“Think of yourself as on the threshold of unparalleled success. A whole, clear, glorious life lies before you. Achieve! Achieve!” – Andrew Carnegie
One of the events showcased in the mini-series is when Thomas Scott, Carnegie’s mentor and boss, asked Carnegie to build and oversee the design and construction of a bridge across the Mississippi River. Scott suggested a man who according to Scott, “could do anything”, to design it. As it turned out, the designer said it was impossible. Carnegie responded with a emphatic “Nothing is Impossible.” From there he imagined the construction of the bridge using steel and thus began the legacy of Carnegie Steel.
“People who are unable to motivate themselves must be content with mediocrity, no matter how impressive their other talents.” – Andrew Carnegie
All these men, including Carnegie, defined the spirit on entrepreneurship. I won’t suggest that they came up with entirely new ideas (except for possibly Edison) but they figured out entirely new ways to use what was already there, how to use it more efficiently, or how to produce it quicker and cheaper. None of these advances came with failure. 10,000 tries at the light bulb ring any bells for you? But all these men, especially Carnegie refused to quit. They persisted until they succeeded.
Most equate the success of these men to industry and the technological advances of their time. I believe what really made them more successful than anyone else of their time was their entrepreneurial spirit. They were visionaries. They saw what other didn’t and did what others couldn’t and achieved the impossible. (Tweet This / Share on Facebook / Post to LinkedIn)
This will be a great mastermind study. None of these men were angels, but one thing about them – they never let anyone else limit what they could do.
So I have a question for you to ponder today. What limits are holding you back for doing what you want to do and becoming who you want to be?

]]>The post How Does Someone Who Hated English Class End Up A Writer? appeared first on BUILDING WHAT MATTERS.COM.
]]>
Most of my High School years were spent trying to stay out of trouble. The only subjects I ever really did any good in were shop, gym and math. English? Not even close. In fact, the only good memory I have of English class was my freshman teacher, Mrs. Miller. It really didn’t even have anything to do with english, it was just that she was pretty cool!
You remember high school? How many cool english teachers do you remember? (No offense if you are an english teacher, remember – this was from the mindset of a teenage male.)
I honestly don’t even remember what we did in english class. Maybe I have formed one of those mental blocks that keeps you safe from traumatic experiences. So how does someone like that become a writer? I have no idea! It just sort of happened.
As a project manager in the construction world, I often needed to write letters. Usually they were because I wanted something that the person the letter was addressed to probably did not want to give me. Man, as I look back, I wrote some good ones. So I guess I became a writer by way of necessity but I never enjoyed it.
Somewhere around 250 blogs in less than two years, one kindle book and a hard copy due out later this spring. You know what? I like writing now. So what happened? I think it comes down to WHY you write. Just so happens that those in the Jeff Goins community were recently challenged with that question – Why do you write? Additionally there are many of us committing to 500 words or more every day this month. (Interested in joining in? Click here)
I pondered this question for a while and I think it comes down to this – I write because it is a way for me to share my story and add value to others that I would not be able to otherwise. People all over the world read and comment on my thoughts and I think that’s pretty cool.
I used to live in a pretty small world with lots of walls but a few years back my world opened up, or maybe it was really my mind that did, but I realized that there are people that believe what you believe but think different thoughts everywhere.
Now I get to collaborate and connect with these people every day. I got to tell you – it has made a huge difference in my quality of life. It feels good to help other people and have them help you. I guess that’s why I write – it makes me feel good.
There are a couple of other reasons that I think are important. I believe everyone has a story, and their story needs to be told. What better way to do it than put it out there and share it. The other thing that I think results from writing – it empowers the reader to change the way they think. Some of you already know what’s coming next … my favorite quote by Dr. Wayne Dyer:
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
Could you use a little change in your life? What if your words could change the life of someone else? What if your story might just be what someone else needs to hear?
Obvious question today: What are you writing? Uh oh! I think I heard someone say they’re not writing? WHY NOT?

Have you ever heard the phrase “if you want it bad enough, you will find a way?” How about, “With a strong enough why, you will find a way.” I am sure there are plenty more that mean basically the same thing. OK, so what? What’s the point?
That is exactly the point. If you don’t know what I mean, then you have missed the entire point. Look at the successful people that you know. How bad did they want it? If you don’t know, ask them. When I say success, I don’t necessarily mean financial success. It could be anything – but that anything is going to be the thing that they really wanted, that they wanted bad enough.
I have been able to talk with a lot of people over the last few years. Many very successful and many still looking. I believe the difference is in being clear on what they want, not how hard they are willing to work. I know numerous people that work very hard and are not even close to having what they want. So what is the difference?
When I was younger and our boys were growing up, I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted to provide for my family and provide for all their needs and even mix in a few “wants” to provide some added stability and security. Then something happened.
Our oldest headed off to college and my wife, a career stay at home mom to that point, started a career as a real estate broker. Over the next few years, with the added income and the empty nest soon to be upon us, I started to lose the why behind what I was doing. I started losing focus on what I really wanted.
Most of you know this part of this story. I started a new career as a coach, speaker and trainer. As I created this new identity and crafted the trade, I began to once again, find the driving force, the reason to persevere to make it in this new world. Now that I am fully engaged in this new profession and have added the label author to the mix as well, I once again can honestly say that I have the drive to do whatever it takes to reach my goals.
It has not been easy and it has taken time to complete the transformation, but now I see how the ability to persevere through the difficult times is really the one thing that will empower you to get there.
So what does all this mean? Simple, now that I have learned from the heartache and the struggle. Being clear on your why, will provide a way. It is crystal clear to me when I examine those individuals I would consider “successful.” If you don’t believe me, take a look around.
I spent too many years “in-between” and quite honestly, I never even knew it. Hindsight is 20/20 but I don’t want you to have to learn the hard way like I did. So a few questions and a challenge and these ones really count.
What do you really want in life? And why do you want it? Be careful how you answer that second question – remember what I said earlier – a strong enough why will produce a way [tweet this]. Another way to look at it courtesy of John Maxwell; “If you have lost your why, you will lose your way.” So here is the challenge; take some time and figure out the answer to those questions and put it to the test. If you are not finding the success you are looking for, you may not have a strong enough why to persevere through the difficult times.

Dictionary.com defines a Manifesto as “a public declaration of intentions, opinions, objectives, or motives.” As a way to say thank you for your continued support, I will be giving away my kindle book “The Manifesto Of An Influential Leader” from November 3rd through November 7th.
This manifesto is the result of thoughts and concepts compiled over the last two years and that were used in creating my 5 Pillars of Influential Leadership.
In everything that I do, I try and add value and provide a way forward. This manifesto provides a teaching technique similar to that which I used earlier this year in Guatemala with the John Maxwell Organization. I was part of a team of about 150 coaches that trained over 20,000 Guatemalan leaders in the areas of leadership and personal growth. We literally watched a Nation change that week and I want you to have this same opportunity!
Back to the definition. I would like to better describe the “why” behind this manifesto based on the definition above.
A PUBLIC DECLARATION OF INTENTIONS
Clearly publishing a document on Amazon makes it public, but I would like to better address my intentions. The intent of this manifesto is to provide a resource that is user friendly and easily put into use by following simple instructions and guidelines. This manifesto is intended to be used by anyone that is currently facing any number of the challenges that I have identified. It can be used one time or numerous times depending on the needs, desires and commitment of the reader.
OPINIONS
We all know about “opinions.” I would rather describe my opinions as thoughts based on my personal experiences over the past 48 years on this earth, 30 plus years in the business world, 26 years of marriage, and as the father of two sons currently attending college. I have drawn conclusions (ok – opinions) based on my experiences and trust me, I have had as many bad as good. My hope is that you can learn from these experiences.
OBJECTIVES
My objective is simple. To provide a tool that you can use to improve your personal or professional life. Ideally, this would include your friends, family and your team at work. I have seen this work! It is important to know that this manifesto will not solve your problems or eliminate the challenges that you are currently facing. That has to come from you. This manifesto will however, provide you a way to accomplish that.
MOTIVES
My motive is also simple. As stated before, this works. I have used this in my own life to move the needle. To improve my attitude. To overcome adversity. To not only change my circumstances, but change myself. Have you ever had something you thought was really cool and you couldn’t stand the thought of keeping it to yourself? You just had to share it with others. Well, that’s what I am doing. I want you to have it and use it. My compensation is knowing that it made a difference in your life and hopefully in the lives of those around you. If you feel inclined, an amazon review would be much appreciated.
No up-sell or hidden agenda here. I simply want you to experience the success that I have using this. I encourage you to share it with as many people as you can. There are no additional things to buy and you don’t even need to go anywhere. Although it has been framed to be used in a group setting, the principles also apply to an individual. So go on, check it out. Trust me, you have everything to gain and really nothing to lose.
A very simple challenge today: CLICK HERE

One of the quotes I have heard that continues to ring loud in my ear is “If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you will keep getting what you’ve been getting. The only way to not keep getting what you’ve been getting is to change what you are doing.
Have you ever wondered how many people actually base their decisions at election time on the platform of the candidate they vote for or simply to change who will be in office? I have. No political statement here, I think this way of thinking impacts both parties.
Here is the problem. These vote are not voting for something, they are actually voting against something. That something is the way things have been. Doing this is no more productive than rolling the dice. 50/50 chance right? So is a fifty percent chance good enough for you? I am sure most would answer am emphatic “NO!”
Let’s take a look at this from the personal perspective. How intentional are you about making changes in your life? I was working with a client recently who has a difficult challenge ahead of him. We sat down and went through the entire situation and game planned it out step by step, IN WRITING.
By the end of the session, the client had the clarity and self-confidence to tackle the challenge head on. This is what happens when there is intentionality added to the equation.
So let’s revisit something that I have talked about before when it come to change. When you plan to change something, it usually helps to have goals to do so. These goals should be SMART goals. Some of you already know about SMART goals so for you this is simply a reminder to make them SMART. If you don’t know about them, your are about to receive the golden ticket to success.
SPECIFIC
Make your goals specific. When you are very clear on what it is you are trying to change, you will have a much better chance to succeed. Be as specific as you can eve if it adds sub-goals to reach the desired outcome.
MEASURABLE
Make your goals measurable. If you can clearly identify whether or not you are accomplishing what you set out to do, you won’t get results you are looking for.
ATTAINABLE
Make sure that your desired change is realistic. If you plan it out step by step, you should be able to identify whether or not you can actually achieve it. The more you break it down, the easier it becomes to see if each step is doable or not.
RELEVANT
So often we simply desire change for the sake of change. Your goals should be relevant to achieving your purpose of following your passion. If the goal is not, you may want to questions why you are seeking it.
TIME BOUND
Set a specific date or time period to the change you are looking for. This not only creates accountability to the process but also allows you to measure progress along the way.
I think everyone is looking for some type of change in their life. So a simple question for you today friends:
“Are you tired of the results you’ve been getting? If you are, maybe it’s time to change what you’ve been doing. And if you are going to change, be SMART about it!”

I find it hard to explain what happen today. I am not going to say it was great, incredible or unbelievable even though those words probably describe what took place.
The truth is I don’t know how to explain it. How do you explain something that you have never done that made you feel like you’ve never felt in a place you’ve never been with people you’ve never met?
Today I realized what significance really means. Lives were changed today, including mine.
For about three and a half hours, I trained on laws of growth and personal values with the objective of training about 35 leaders that have committed to bring these ideas and skills to hundreds more.
My only worry going into this first session was that I would be able to connect with these people that did not understand the language I speak. I could not have asked for a more capable and passionate translator. When I met Anai this morning, I immediately was put to ease.
Anai, a twenty one year old college student who lives just outside of Guatemala City, told me she wants to get her masters degree in language translation in Chicago and then return home so that she can help support her family. That was all I really needed to hear.
She was amazing. Somehow, we moved through the material like we had been practicing together for a long time. I found it interesting how much different communication is when you have to depend so much more on body language to connect with your audience.
Have you ever had the complete attention of someone you are speaking to even though you know they don’t understand a word you are saying? Let me tell you, it is extremely powerful!
Our preparation time paid off and I know that those future agents of change not only understand the responsibility they have as leaders now, but also that the hope, or ESPERANZA, of transformation in Guatemala is now reality. I heard so many amazing stories from my colleagues, many of them describing adversity that was overcome during the process.
Failure was not an option for us today, and I honestly believe this Country will refuse to fail as well. The outside world has showed up and believed in them and they now believe in themselves. They will do this.
We finished up with cheers of “La Transformación está en mí.” Everyone in that room left a different person than when they arrived. I believe this is the beginning of something much bigger than what will be accomplished this week.
Upon returning back to the hotel, we found ourselves in the company of several of the orphans that we had brought gifts for. No words can describe the light in the faces of these kids as they took turns selecting from the mountains of crayons, stuffed animals and coloring books.
The picture is of me with some of my new friends. These boys were some that traveled four hours to be here today. How was your day?
We finished up the day with a team review of the events of the day. More amazing stories shared by some of my teammates. Then John Maxwell stepped to the podium. You could see and feel the emotion within him as he told us that today was one of his finest moments. The feedback already received included a request by President Pérez Molina asking John to train his entire cabinet.
This was the one, however, that brought everyone to their feet. “Once you get a taste of significance, you will never settle for success.” Today we were significant. Today, Hope or “Esperanza” is no longer what might change this country. It is what WILL change it. Tomorrow, we do it again. Can’t wait!
